Refund & Cancellation Policy

Our policies regarding refunds and cancellations for donations.

Effective Date: October 31, 2026

Organization: Kerala Niyama Sahaya Samithi

1. Charitable Donations & Voluntary Contributions

Kerala Niyama Sahaya Samithi relies on voluntary donations, contributions, and organizational support from individuals and institutions to carry out its legal literacy drives, human rights protection programs, and legal aid assistance for the underprivileged.

Non-Refundable Nature: All voluntary donations made to Kerala Niyama Sahaya Samithi are final and non-refundable. Once a donation is successfully processed, it is immediately allocated to social service activities, community legal aid programs, and organizational operations.

2. Exceptional Refund Circumstances

Refunds for donations will only be considered under the following rare circumstances:

  • Technical Error / Duplicate Transaction: If a donor experiences a technical error during online payment (e.g., account debited twice for a single donation attempt).
  • Unauthorized Card Usage: If a donation was made fraudulently using a compromised payment instrument.

3. Procedure for Requesting a Donation Refund

If a duplicate or unauthorized transaction occurs, the donor must submit a formal request within 7 business days of the transaction date.

  • Full name and contact details
  • Transaction date and transaction ID / reference number
  • Payment receipt and proof of duplicate deduction

4. Processing of Approved Refunds

Upon receiving the request, the finance committee will verify the transaction logs. If approved, the refund will be processed back to the original payment method (bank account, UPI, credit/debit card) within 10 to 14 working days. Any applicable bank processing fees or transaction charges will be deducted as permitted by law.

5. Membership Fees & Registration Contributions

Application Fees / Annual Membership Fees: Fees paid towards membership registration, ID card issuing, or annual organizational subscriptions are non-refundable once the membership application is processed or approved.

Event & Workshop Registrations: In cases where delegate registration fees are collected for seminars, legal workshops, or conferences organized by the Samithi, refunds will only be granted if the event is completely cancelled by the organization without a rescheduled date.
